Dear reader,

I'm excited to share the 2025 Berlin Salary Trends Report with you! As with previous years, this project turned out to be much more work than anticipated. I focused on data processing improvements, the report itself and spent many (quite exhausting!) hours categorising nearly 1,100 job titles into 53 distinct groups.

The biggest change from previous years is the lack of a comparison dashboard, but it might come later. The same applies to role-based deep dives.

What you’ll find in the report:

  • Salary benchmarks across 53 job categories, allowing you to compare your compensation with peers in similar roles (but be careful, many are underrepresented)

  • Insights into compensation differences based on company size, industry, and nationality to help make strategic career moves (maybe it’s time to ask for a bonus?)

  • Practical benchmarks to help evaluate your own compensation position (and getting that raise!)

  • Some hard data on how speaking German doesn’t necessarily pay more (but of course, do learn it — it will make it easier to jump ship in Germany)

  • and more…
